Appearance[]

Vrishka is a typical troll woman by many standards. She has outrageously colored hair, sharp tusks, and a height comparable to many humanoid races in Azeroth. Her skin is a soft aqua blue and doesn't appear to have many scars on it. The only deviation to this is her two tribal tattoos on her right arm. The first one reads in trollish script "royalty," and the one underneath it, "betrothen". The rest of her skin however, seems to have the occasional nick or wound here and there. At most, these wounds appear to be a week or two old. Perhaps it is due to her fast regenaration rates? Who knows?

Her eyes are a deep amber accented by gold flecks. Her facial features are soft, in comparison to her large and sharp tusks. Her tusks are ivory colored with engravings in them. In her tribe, such engravings are saved only for people of high status or importance. Such as, tribe leaders, honored warriors, and the like. The base of her tusks have silver hoops secured tightly, just another way to display her status and family wealth.

Personality[]

Vrishka's beautiful troll appearances are severely offset by her loud and boisterous nature. She seems to have little awareness of many things that go on around her. In many ways, she is very self-centered. She can only focus on things that immediately affect her, and sometimes, her friends. These things usually include "drinkin', killin', and sexin'," or so her wife Jadenala says.

Over time, all creatures change, and Vrishka is no exception to this rule. Years of fighting battles and witnessing events outside of her tribe have begun to open her eyes. She has witnessed others loses; she has felt pain, and loneliness. You could say that Vrishka is beginning to mature. While exploring Azeroth she finds herself in more and more positions where she is the protector of her friends and companions. This responsibility has instilled in her, a respect for others outside of her world. In fact, she has begun more charitable efforts because of such. Instead of fighting for treasure, she fights for honor and to defend Azeroth. Although she does admit, some monetary compensation is nice, it pays for new armor and booze.

Vrishka

Tribe[]

Vrishka comes from a tribe which broke off from the Darkspears in recent years, a very small sect known as the Kiros Tribe. Vrishka's father, a senile old troll, talked of ideas which the Darkspear thought absurd. Very few had faith in the old man, but those who did sought to leave Sen'Jin before matters worsened. The lost tribe ended up finding home on the shores of Stranglethorn Vale.

Over the years the tribe became more savage and outrageous. Soon they practiced head hunting, occasionally pillaging Alliance encampments or journeying into Darkshire. Their camps were decorated with spears with bloodied severed heads hung for all to see. These served two purposes. 1) To show the tribe's fierceness to discourage other troll tribes from advancing, 2) to catch predators who sought after the heads. These predators would be used for food, mounts, and sometimes even pets.

One day a bunch of Kiros headhunters was exploring the jungles of Stranglethorn when they came upon an old temple. From afar they caught a glimpse of the magnificent god, Hakkar. Pretty soon Vrishka's father saw the god for himself and from then on they abandoned the loas and worshipped Hakkar. He ruled their dominion, and they would obey them.

The Kiros would offer sacrifices to Hakkar and offer up their women to be high priestess who would worship the god from afar. Upon recognizing the Kiros' trolls devotion, Hakkar granted their senile old leader, and high priestesses, a small token of his power, just to show his appreciation. The high ranking officials of the Kiros have the ability to curse individuals and perform magical effects which would have otherwise taken them decades to teach themselves.

Vrishka, daughter to the tribe leader, was of age. Before she could become a high priestess of the tribe she must first marry, and that's when she met Jadenala.

History[]

The Curse[]

Seniledad

Vrishka grew up with the Kiros Tribe for most of her life, only spending a few of her younger years around the Darkspears. Being the leaders daughter, and her becoming of age, it was time for a suitor to step forth. Vrishka's senile father was only getting older with every passing moon, and even he knew that there would have to be someone to take his place for generations to come. There were many prospectful husbands for Vrishka within the tribe, her father planned competitions to see which troll would prove his worth as the suitor towards his daughter.

The day before the competition, tensions were high within the Kiros Encampment. The suitors were sharpening their axes and spears, and training for the upcoming day's events. Vrishka was less than thrilled, the men in her tribe were fine trolls, but she didn't feel a connection to any of them. To ease her tension she decided to walk along the shores of Strangelthorn and ponder her feelings.

The water of the Vile Reef was sparkling brilliantly under the sun. "Maybe I should dive for some pearls," Vrishka thought, "they'd make a good necklace for my upcoming wedding." As Vrishka began to take off her tribal robes she felt a sharp pain at her ankle and soon she was being dragged underneath the water.

Her first reaction was to reach for her blade. "Damnit," she thought, realizing she left it at the encampent. She looked down underneath the water only to see a crocolisk, "I'll be damned if I die from this," she silently cursed to herself. She put up the best fight she could but without oxygen her body began to slowly shut down and her strength weakened.

SPLASH! Vrishka heard something in the water happening around her, maybe it was the crocolisk crushing her bones, she did not know. Suddenly two sturdy arms clung around her chest and swam her back to shore. Her memory was fuzzy but when she awoke she remember seeing the face of an orc. The young orc woman began "Ya's lucky girl. Wrestlin' 'dem crocolisks is what 'ah do for fun. Dat 'dun crocolisk almost swallowed ya's whole."

Vrishka snarled slightly. "I coulda' taken care o' it ma'self!" she grabbed her robes and threw them over her wet body, "I's be needin' no one's help."

"Oh is tha' it huh? Ah fella' tries ta' help out anotha' in need only ta' get shafted?" the young orc crossed her arms.

"What ya's be wantin'? Gold? Food?" Vrishka began walking back towards her home.

"Ah's be wantin' both!" Jadenala called after her.

The walk back home was quiet. The young orc named Jadenala followed a few pace lengths behind Vrishka, for fear that she'd have to deal with a crazy woman. In her eyes, that was worse than any crocolisk. Not long after Jadenala began seeing severed heads in the jungles around her. "Trolls sure are funny folk," she mumbled to herself.

The jungle began to clear and an troll village came into full view. "Vrishka!" her father called out while strolling over to her. "Wher've ya' been youngin?"

"Jus' walkin'," she said quietly.

"What dis' on ya' ankle?" Her father pointed to the dried blooded covering her ankle and foot, "ya's been chewed to da' bone girl! Ya' give 'em a fight?" her father grinned.

"Actually," Jadenala piped in, "'Ah saved her!"

"You wha?" the old troll looked over the orc, "Who be ya' mon?"

"Jadenala!" Jadenala nodded at the old man.

"'Dis be true Vrishie?," when Vrishka nodded in acknowledgment her father took both her and Jadenala's hand and raised them up to the sky. "'Dis young man saved mah baby girl! You two are ta' wed!"

NOES

Vrishka's eyes bulgged, Jadenala looked down at her breasts wondering how she could be mistaken for a man, the other male trolls in the tribe dropped their spears and jaws. The old man was clearly out of his mind.

"By da' power of da' god Hakkar, I bind JOO!" a flash of light and a ceremony later that night would officially bind the two in matrimony. Vrishka's father would bind the two forever through magic, making them unable to have sexual thoughts or relations of anyone besides one another. Doing so would cause both extreme agony.

Jadenala and Vrishka have adapted to being with on another. The two have become great friends and neither has the heart to tell Vrishka's father that Jade is actually a woman. For fear of speaking against the leader's rule, everyone else in the tribe has kept their mouth shut as well.

Trade of Blades[]

After their abrupt marriage ceremony, the duo decided to go on a "honey moon". This was really just their excuse to figure out how they would ever get out of such a mess. They wandered out of Stranglethorn and all around Azeroth trying to think up answers. Along the way they discovered that they were truly compatible as friends. Jadenala looked back on the fiery hair troll not as the witch she met on the beach, but as a very honorable friend. The two quested around Azeroth, played drinking games, and sought after treasure. Vrishka abandoned her somewhat stuck up attitude for a very relaxed, and sometimes drunken, persona. Jadenala and Vrishka soon found a band of followers who would accompany them. Mugthol and Yasiin ran into the two at very different times.

Mugthol was perhaps the most self-centered, egotistical ass to ever walk the earth, but Vrishka and Jadenala loved him to death. He was easy to annoy, he helped fund their booze splurges, and he knew more about the world than they ever did. Yasiin ran into them during their explorations, attempting to steal their treasure. Swayed by Jadenala's good nature, she decided to stay... as long as she got a decent amount of gold.

The team soon formed Trade Of Blades.

Azerothian Explorer's League[]

The group of four was having fun. They had explored almost every section of Azeroth and discovered new treasure, and answers to the curse placed upon Vrishka and Jadenala. Upon adventuring through the Sunken Temple the four found ancient scriptures which told of Hakkar's hold on this world, and how the only way to sever such a hold, would be to cutt him off entirely. Confused, the group looked to Mugthol. He soon explained that the only way to end the curse would be to go through Zul'Gurub, kill his minions, and Hakkar.

Vrishka, raised to love and praise the god, could not muster the strength to defeat him. Nor could she try. Jadenala wanted to kill the god, regardless. She mustered up a bunch of like minded adventurer's dubbed "The Explorer's League" to pillage Zul'Gurub. Feeling angry and saddened, Vrishka focused the groups attention on Ahn'Qiraj. She would do anything to persuade them to stay away from Zul'Gurub. Her efforts against the Qiraji soon earned her a high title with the Cenarion Circle. She was beginning to become less self-centered, and do things for the common good of the world.

But her group brought to her attention that Zul'Gurub needed to be destroyed. She could not stand such talk anymore and she left. She had to.
